About MIS

Leadership & Governance

Meet the people who shape Masters International School — from our founder and school leaders to the trustees who steward our mission.

MIS is led by experienced educators and ministry leaders committed to Christ-centered international education in Thailand. Our superintendent, Thai director, and broader leadership team work alongside a governing board to set strategy, safeguard our mission, and care for every family in our community.

Board

The Masters International School Board (BOT) is the governing board of MIS, made up of representatives of MIS Owner Organizations — Founders, Founder Associates, and Owner Associates. The Chief Governance Officer (CGO), commonly referred to as the Board Chair, leads the BOT and is re-elected each school year from among current members.

The Board follows the Carver Policy Governance model, focusing on three core tasks: (1) developing and maintaining a relationship with the school's owners for input and accountability; (2) setting policy for the Superintendent and for the Board itself; and (3) producing assurance of the Superintendent's performance. MIS clearly distinguishes between management and governance — operational matters belong to the Superintendent and school leadership, while the Board safeguards mission, direction, and stewardship.
