About Us

Our Mission

MIS is a holistic educational community where students and families experience abundant life together while they are equipped to understand and pursue their life calling, bringing life to communities around the world.

Our Foundation

What We Value

01

Abundant life in Christ

Christ-centered formation at every level of the school.

  • All board members, leadership, and professional staff have a thriving relationship with Christ.

  • The curriculum, pedagogy, policies, and extra-curricular programs—every aspect of each student's experience—is interwoven with the gospel.

  • Services, staff development, and community programming focus on making disciples who hear and obey God's Word.

  • Failure is navigated as a learning opportunity, and brokenness is viewed as part of living in this world. Humility and authenticity are therefore critical hallmarks of the learning process.

02

Holistic education

Head, heart, and hands — formed together.

  • Each dimension of student learning (head, heart, hands) is addressed in the curriculum and classroom management, including sports, life skills, and experiential learning. This facilitates strong academics in the context of holistic formation.

03

Collaboration

We partner with families and the wider community.

  • The school engages with other local organizations to provide complementary services to the community. This includes churches, training centers, online schools, counseling centers, and experiential education programs.

  • Parents provide volunteer services in the school as part of their commitment to the community.

04

Asian roots, intercultural fruit

Tri-lingual education rooted in place.

  • A Chinese language and humanities core is offered to students K-12 as part of the redemptive educational curriculum.

  • Thai language is offered K-12 as part of the redemptive educational curriculum.

05

Welcoming all to the banquet

Accessible to as many learners as possible.

  • Provision is made for special needs, seeking to include as many as possible in the "banquet" of learning.

  • ESL services are provided to enable more students to access the education.

  • Counseling services are provided for students needing additional support.

  • Need-based financial assistance is provided.
